The Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology has selected five Digital Innovation Hubs whose task is to support transformation into industry 4.0. Lodz University of Technology becomes one of them.

The Hub of Digital Innovation consortium established this month consists of four partners: the Institute of Communications – National Research Institute, as a leader and Łódz University of Technology, Ericsson Sp. z o.o. and Fundingbox Accelerator Sp. z o.o.

-The established consortium creating the Hub of Digital Innovation significantly brings us closer to the implementation of the ambitious project to build a pilot 5G network on the campus of the Lodz University of Technology – says Prof. Sławomir Wiak, rector of the Lodz University of Technology. It must be clearly stated that regardless of the funding obtained from the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology, the Lodz University of Technology is already implementing a project related to the establishment of the 5G Competence Center and the 5G Knowledge Portal co-financed by the Marshal’s Office in the university – specifies the rector.
