“The Łomża Academy of Applied Sciences is a thriving university. We are convinced that from 1 June 2023, here in Łomża, after 20 years of operation, we will have a full-fledged Łomża Academy. This place deserves it”, said the Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, during his visit to the Łomża Academy.
The higher education institution was established on 1 July 2004 as the State Higher School of Information Technology and Entrepreneurship in Łomża. From 1 March 2022, it changed its name to the Academy of Applied Sciences in Łomża.
As a result of the evaluation of the quality of scientific activity carried out in 2022, the Academy was awarded the scientific category B+ in the discipline of legal sciences and applied to change its name to Łomża Academy. The relevant bill is currently being processed in parliament.
There are 3 faculties within the structure of the university: the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Faculty of Information and Technology Sciences.
