The Union of Lublin Universities, which associates the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, the Lublin University of Technology, the Medical University of Lublin and the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, announced that this year’s Lublin Student Culture Days will not be held in the traditional form in May this year. At that time, cultural and sporting events will be held.

The rectors of Lublin universities informed students in a joint statement that the war in Ukraine is ongoing and they observe with concern the dramatic situation there  every day, therefore, in a gesture of solidarity and respect for Ukrainian students and their families, they decided to postpone the organization of mass events taking place as part of the Lublin Student Culture Days.

The new date and formula will be consulted with representatives of student governments of universities, and the event will be organized by a special working group, which will also include representatives of the Lublin Commune.
