The Lublin University of Technology has been announced the leader of innovation in this year’s ranking of higher education schools prepared by the “Perspektywy” journal.
– It is a great honor for us. Once again, we took the first place in the category of innovation. Our advantages are numerous inventions, whose authors are both university employees and students. Their solutions have been repeatedly awarded in national and international competitions. Also, our students since 2011 are the laureates of the “Student-Inventor” competition and win medals at the International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva – said Prof. Piotr Kacejko, rector of the Lublin University of Technology.
Over the past six years 441 patents have been submitted by the Lublin University of Technology, of which 383 were obtained. In terms of the number of inventions reported (93 in 2017) and obtained patents (71 in 2017) the university ranks among the top universities. By the number of applications and patents per employee, the Lublin University of Technology takes the 1st position in Poland.
