The Digital Resources Workshop of the Main Library of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin has been equipped with modern equipment designed to digitize collections and the scientific achievements of employees. The cost of the investment is PLN 241 thousand.
The studio has been equipped with a working scanner for books and a roller scanner, which has unique solutions. Modern equipment has high efficiency, and also it allows for the recognition of the width of the document in real-time scanning and advanced graphic processing. Digitization will enable permanent archiving of documents, their wide disclosure, and will protect them from damage and degradation.
The purchase of hardware and software for the digitization of resources was financed under the project “ZUT 4.0 – Direction: Future”, financed by European funds under the Knowledge Education Development Operational Program.
