Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin, represented by UMCS Rector Professor Radosław Dobrowolski, and the Internal Security Agency (ABW), represented by the Director of the ABW Delegation in Lublin, Colonel Adrian Świrk, have concluded a cooperation agreement.

The ABW becomes another partner of the university, offering substantive and practical support to the educational process. The scope of cooperation will include cyclical meetings for students, which will familiarise them with the tasks and nature of the ABW’s activities and issues in the area of cyber security, cryptography or fake news.

The signing of the agreement has already resulted in the first joint project. On 5 December, in cooperation with the ABW Museum, students will be able to learn about the history, watch and even encrypt a message themselves using ENIGMA – the most famous cipher machine in the world. The event will take place at the Faculties: Law and Administration and Political Science and Journalism.
