On May 31, 2019, the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin invites participants to the “2nd Ukrainian Day at UMCS”, which will take place at the UMCS Academic Center of Culture “Chatka Żaka”.
The event “Ukrainian Day” will show contemporary Ukrainian culture in its various aspects and will bring closer the heritage and national wealth of Polish eastern neighbor. The event aims to integrate students and inhabitants of Lublin with representatives of the Ukrainian community, promoting Polish-Ukrainian dialogue and building friendships between both nations.
During the event participants will be able to take part in artistic workshops with folk and folk singing. The program also includes tasting of traditional Ukrainian cuisine. The organizers also invite guests to a meeting with a young writer, Olesia Jaremchuk, who will present a collection of reportages titled “Nashi inshi” about minorities living in Ukraine.
