The Scientific Club of the Austrian School of Economics of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin is organizing a series of meetings with business practitioners to promote the idea of entrepreneurship and show that economics is useful in everyday life.
Organizers want to show how to combine the theory of economics with practical aspects of the business on the example of well-known brands. The first meeting “Brewery as business” will be held on May 7, 2019 at the Faculty of Economics of UMCS.
The meeting will be visited by Piotr Piekarski, president of the board of the brewery Browar Jastrzębie. During the event, the participants will learn how to run a brewery business, how the company managed to obtain capital for development, and learn about the current market situation of craft beers and the company’s development prospects.
