Two projects of the Maria Curie Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin: “Entrepreneurial kids” and “Business Mentoring Sessions” were awarded in the European Entrepreneurship Promotion Awards 2022 (EEPA).
The results of the national stage of the EEPA competition were announced on July 26. The winner was the project “Entrepreneurial kids” (category: Promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship). It has been organized for 4 years by the City of Lublin and UMCS (this year’s program was carried out in cooperation with the National Bank of Poland as part of the economic education program). Project participants, i.e. children aged 6-10, gain knowledge in economics and entrepreneurship, and develop the so-called soft skills during lessons, visits to Lublin companies and workshops with creative people.
The jury awarded the second award in the competition to the “Business Mentoring Sessions” initiative (category: Responsible and Supportive Entrepreneurship). It is a series of events whose main goal is to encourage foreign students to connect their professional future with Lublin and the region.
