The Maritime University of Gdynia is strengthening cooperation with MEWO SA. The agreement signed on board of the Dar Młodzieży school frigate provides a new framework for a long-term partnership under which the Maritime Institute (part of the University from 2019) and MEWO SA that conducts environmental research for investments in maritime areas.
The signed contract allows for the extension of existing activities in research and science and additional activities for the maritime economy and energy sector, where the preparation of staff for the offshore sector is of particular importance.
The development of the range of services is mainly related to the ongoing investment process in offshore wind energy, which is entering subsequent implementation phases, setting new challenges for research works and services. As part of the cooperation, the partners are planning activities aimed at developing the university’s educational offer.
