The international project “A pan-European Network for Marine Renewable Energy with a focus on Wave Energy” has been approved by the COST program. Among the networking organizations, connecting over 100 participants from 25 countries, is the Maritime University of Szczecin.
The aim of the campaign is to create the basis for joint projects and to establish directions for research in the field of offshore renewable energy (in particular marine energy), financed by the European Commission. The activities assume creating working groups, organizing conferences and trainings, and disseminating knowledge.
The European Program for Scientific and Technical Cooperation – European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) is an institutional structure that is held jointly by 36 European countries and Israel (as a supporting state). Its most important task is to organize scientific and technical cooperation of member countries.
