The Maritime University of Szczecin started cooperation with the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW). The agreement was signed by Dr Przemysław Ligenza, director of the Institute and rector of the university, Dr Eng. Capt. Wojciech Ślączka Prof. of the Maritime University. The event was attended by the Minister of Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation, Marek Gróbarczyk.

The agreement provides joint implementation of research projects, exchange of scientific and research staff, education of PhD students and joint publications in scientific journals. The decision to cooperate was made with a sense of responsibility for the further development of the potential of both partners.

– Nobody has ever considered the Maritime University of Szczecin with IMGW, but water management is the common denominator. This is another example of close scientific cooperation between an academic center and an institution of a business nature and it also serves the public interest – said the minister
