The multi-year budget of the Maritime University of Technology in Szczecin has been enriched with treasury securities worth PLN 25 million, which will boost development and ensure the growth of scientific and research potential.
At the request of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, following a positive opinion from Infrastructure Minister Andrzej Adamczyk, Finance Minister Magdalena Rzeczkowska granted the university with treasury securities earmarked for an increase in the basic capital.
The bonds will be used for the construction of a distributed simulation centre. The unit will complement the existing network of simulators – the equipment in some of them will also be replaced with newer ones that fully meet the standards of modern officer training.
The plans also envisage the retrofitting of the faculties of mechanical engineering, navigation and mechatronics and electrical engineering, whose teaching and research are largely directed towards the rapidly growing offshore industry.
