For the fourteenth time, a competition for the best diploma thesis on topics related to Ełk was organized in the city. This year, the Mayor of Ełk awarded the authors of four works.

In the category of engineering works, the jury awarded the work by Julia Kruszewska (Białystok University of Technology) “The impact of heavy metals in road dust on the health of the inhabitants of Ełk” and the work of Karolina Skorupa (Bialystok University of Technology) “Project of the park at the railway station in Ełk”.

In the category of master’s theses, prizes were awarded to: Karolina Pietruk (Białystok University of Technology) for her work “Retirement Home” and Jarosław Kamiński (University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn) for his work “The impact of information technologies on the effectiveness of public administration, taking into account the experience of the City Hall of Ełk”.

The aim of the competition is to popularize topics related to Ełk, enable the authors of the work to promote their achievements and encourage them to undertake innovative scientific and research works on this city.
