The Mazovian Academy in Plock has been authorised by the decision of the Council for Scientific Excellence to confer doctoral and post-doctoral degrees in the field of family sciences in the discipline of family sciences.
The Płock academy emphasises that this is another step towards the establishment of a university. It must have scientific categories at least in six disciplines.
According to the law, the word ‘university’ in its name can be used by an academic institution that has a scientific category of A+, A or B+ in at least six scientific disciplines, contained in at least three fields of science.
The Mazovian Academy in Plock is a higher education institution that offers 19 majors, including a single master’s degree (majoring in medicine, psychology, special pedagogy, pre-school and early childhood pedagogy). Education takes place within four units: Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Informatics, Faculty of Health Sciences and Faculty of Medicine. The university also runs a Doctoral School.
