In the new academic year the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw is launching a new, unique in Poland study of Mediation of Art – combining practice and theory of art. The study was created as a reaction to the latest art phenomena, the impact of the network, the latest technologies and the changing reality of the art market.

Students of the new field will gain workshop skills in professional art studios. They will also deepen knowledge of art theory and history, artistic criticism, contemporary culture as well as media and trends related to the functioning of the art market. Classes will be conducted by outstanding artists, critics, curators and culture animators.

Graduates of mediation in art are to understand the issues of artistic and market strategies. They should be able to write critical texts about art, organize a place for exhibitions and a gallery, design a long-term animations and workshops, write a project and implement it.
