Observing the health services market and the current epidemiological situation, the Medical University of Bialystok (MUB) decided to supplement the current offer with a new study of Public Health and Epidemiology.
Specialists in the Public Health and Epidemiology will act as a link between medicine and all other areas of social life that shape health. The ongoing pandemic has largely highlighted the need for such professionals in the Polish healthcare.
The program of studies in Public Health and Epidemiology can be divided into several subject parts. First, it will include subjects related to the management and organization of the health care system. Secondly, the area of particular emphasis is the range of issues related to the assessment of the health situation. The leading subject in this area is epidemiology.
The study plan includes 120 hours of apprenticeships. Students will be able to attend classes in entities designated by MUB, as well as to implement their own ideas in the form of domestic or foreign internships, also in the non-public sector.
