The Medical University of Gdańsk has begun the process of obtaining the HR Excellence in Research certificate. This is a distinction awarded to institutions that provide attractive working conditions as well as opportunities for further development to research and development employees in the European Union.

The certificate is awarded by the European Commission after fulfilling the conditions set out in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. Its possession is linked to the obligation to constantly raise standards in the area of human capital management and the readiness to undergo evaluation by international experts.

The certificate gives increased international visibility and additional points in scientific project applications, confirmation of the high standards of human resource management procedures and the opportunity to join the European network supporting the international mobility of researchers – Euraxess.
