The Observatory’s Council positively considered the application of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice to join the Magna Charta Observatory. The solemn signing of Magna Charta Universitatum is planned for September, during the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the association – informs the university on its website.

Magna Charta Universitatum contains the principles of academic freedom and institutional autonomy of universities. This is the international university environment sharing the same academic values and goals.

Magna Charta Observatory is a non-profit organization founded by the University of Bologna and the European University Association. It collaborates with other national, European and international organizations, setting similar or consistent goals, mainly preserving academic values without any influence or pressure.
