The Medical University of Wrocław has signed a partnership agreement with AstraZeneca. The partners will jointly develop and implement an educational program for nurses caring for people with heart failures. 

The program will include theoretical and practical lessons, based on a handbook for nurses and patients. Such trainings will provide for nurses in Central and Eastern Europe with a more uniform approach to heart failure education. A model center for the care of heart failure will be established at the Medical University of Wrocław.

The program is linked to the AstraZeneca initiative “Global ACT on HF – Accelerate Change Together”, which aims to prioritize heart failure in healthcare systems and improve access to prophylaxis and diagnostics as well as improve care of the patients.
