The Medical University of Wrocław (UMW) has been ranked among the 351-400 best universities in the Times Higher Education World Universities Rankings (THE WUR). This is the highest score for a Polish university in this year’s ranking.
The excellent result of the University of Medical Sciences in Wrocław was influenced primarily by the evaluation of publications – citations. In this category, the UMW was ranked 165th in the world, with 247th position taken in the category of educational conditions.
According to the rector of the MUW, Prof. Piotr Ponikowski, the highest rating in Poland is fantastic news, and the high ranking in the assessment of didactics is particularly important.
“Excellence in didactics is one of the most important tasks for us this academic year. We are introducing many modernisations, and we want to teach our students even better – more practically. I am delighted that an objective, international assessment confirms that we are on the right track. Excellence in teaching, this is what we strive for”, says the rector quoted in the university’s website.
