A meeting of Minister Dariusz Wieczorek and Vice-Minister Maria Mrówczyńska with the Presidium of the Conference of Rectors of Public Vocational Schools was held at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The main topic of discussion was the challenges facing the higher vocational education sector in Poland.
During the meeting, the subject of planned amendments to the Act on Higher Education and Science was discussed. “We want to talk to representatives of various mililieus in order to get to know your perspective on the functioning of the Act and to listen to voices saying what should be changed in it”, said Minister Dariusz Wieczorek.
According to the Ministry of Science, the need to strengthen the links between vocational education and business, cooperation with the Polish Accreditation Committee, and the topic of mechanisms for financing public vocational universities were also raised.
The Conference of Rectors of Public Vocational Schools is an association of rectors representing Polish public vocational schools. Currently, the Conference brings together 31 public HEIs, whose primary objective is education for the social and economic environment of our country.
