Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa Innowacje develops the “Intelligent Mine” project. It aims to  introduce advanced technologies at every stage of coal mining as well as to improve management, logistics, transport and monitoring of the mine.

Researchers predicting the future of the Polish hard coal mining industry believe that without the use of innovative technologies it will not be possible to increase profitability or increase the safety of underground works. Exploration of the deposits will be conducted deeper and deeper, and in more difficult geological conditions.

Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa intends to launch a pilot of “intelligent” mine and then verified solutions to be introduced into mining plants of the company.
The project was included in the Strategy for Responsible Development and placed in the Program for Silesia. It is financed from the resources of the Polish Development Fund, from the National Center for Research and Development and the capitals of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa.
