The development of academic cooperation in medicine was the main topic of the meeting between the minister of education and science, Przemysław Czarnek, with the vice-rector for internationalization policy at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.

“As the minister of education and science, I want to be a guarantor of the Polish government’s commitment to cooperation”, said Minister Przemysław Czarnek during the meeting. The head of the Ministry of Education and Science emphasized that the goal of joint activities of Polish and Italian scientists is comprehensive care for the well-being of the patient.

Minister Czarnek announced the organization of an international conference in Poland devoted to modern oncological therapies. The event will be attended by scientists from the Medical College of Wisconsin.

The meeting at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” was attended by the rector of the Catholic University of Lublin, Fr. Prof. Mirosław Kalinowski and the president of the Medical Research Agency, plenipotentiary of the Prime Minister for the development of the biotechnology sector and Poland’s independence in blood products, Dr Radosław Sierpiński.

During his visit to Rome, the rector of the Catholic University of Lublin signed a cooperation agreement with the University of “La Sapienza” and the Gemelli Polyclinic.
