The Minister of Digitization Marek Zagórski inaugurated the activity of the Virtual Department of Ethics and Law, whose task will be to analyze and investigate the challenges of law and ethics in relation to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its connections with other technologies.

The Virtual Department of Ethics and Law will advise and propose to the government activities supporting the development and application of solutions using Artificial Intelligence. It’s all about suggesting effective solutions and changes in the law that will allow to better develop artificial intelligence.

The Virtual Department of Ethics and Law will be created by scientists representing: Polish Academy of Sciences, NASK National Research Institute, Krakow Academy of Sciences, University of Bialystok, Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University, University of Lodz, University of Opole, University of Silesia in Katowice, University of Warsaw and Warsaw University of Technology.
