The Minister of Education and Science has provided the Lublin University of Technology with an earmarked grant of PLN 4.98 million for the implementation of the Scientific Centre for Research and Improvement of Innovative Manufacturing Technologies.

The aim of the project is to strengthen the scientific potential of the Lublin University of Technology in terms of improving manufacturing technologies and techniques and raising their level of innovation.

However, the main objective of the planned investment is to use the specialised equipment requested by the Lublin university to carry out advanced and innovative research into the treatment of hard-to-machine materials used in mechanical engineering.

This will raise the status of the Department of Fundamentals of Production Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Lublin University of Technology, as it specialises in relationships resulting from technological aspects affecting the properties of the surface layer. They are necessary to define, especially in areas with a real impact on the reliability and operation of machinery and equipment structures.
