The Ministry of Education and Science selected research and development projects awarded funding under the “Science for Society” program. There were 15 competition applications on the list for funding.
The most, nearly PLN 2 million, will be received by the Pro Futuro Theologiae Foundation for the project “Opera omnia of St. Thomas Aquinas and its value for contemporary humanities studies”. The Institute of Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences will receive over PLN 1.65 million for the project called “Global Legal Information”, and nearly PLN 1.35 million will be received by the Polish Historical Society, which will implement the project “Polish archival heritage abroad”.
The “Science for Society” program was established on July 1, 2021. Its aim is to support entities of the higher education and science system and other organizational units acting for the dissemination of science in the implementation of projects aimed at building cooperation between entities operating in science and in socio-economic area. It includes the financing of projects in three areas: “Scientific Excellence”, “Science for Innovation” and “Humanities – Society – Identity”.
