The Ministry of Science and Higher Education has allocated over PLN 4 million to investments of the University of Bialystok (UwB). It will create a new university library and observatory together with the planetarium on the campus at ul. Ciołkowski.

The library will be built within the next two years in the academic year 2021/22. It will be located in the area next to the University Cultural Center and will be another building located around the so-called Sunny Square on the campus. In the middle of this square, an observatory will be built in 2020.
The planetarium is designed to develop astronomy, but also to make it an element of the city. – We want residents to use this observatory – said Prof. Robert Ciborowski, rector of the UB.
