The Council of Ministers Ordinance of 16 December 2023 was published in the Journal of Laws of the Republic of Poland. The regulation establishing the Ministry of Science and Higher Education will enter into force on 1 January 2024.
It will be recalled that Dariusz Wieczorek has been appointed as Minister of Science and Higher Education. There will also be four deputy ministers in the ministry, who will most likely be:
Dr Maciej Gdula, a sociologist, specialist in social theory and political theory. He is an assistant professor at the Institute of Sociology, University of Warsaw (UW).
Prof. Marek Gzik, MP from the Civic Coalition list, professionally associated with the Silesian University of Technology for over a quarter of a century.
Dr Maria Mrówczyńska, Vice-Chancellor for Cooperation with the Economy at the University of Zielona Góra.
Dr Andrzej Szeptycki, political scientist from the University of Warsaw, expert of the Strategies 2050 Institute. Graduate of the Institute of International Relations of the University of Warsaw and master studies in history at the University of Paris-Sorbonne.
