Under the decision of Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin, over PLN 21 million was allocated from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for the construction of a concrete runway at the Aviation Center of the State Higher Vocational School in Chełm.

The concrete runway is necessary for the full functioning of the University Center of Aeronautics and the airport used by it in Depułtycze Krolewskie. First of all, it will allow pilots to perform all air operations, even in bad weather conditions.

– The runway is also necessary aeronautical infrastructure to increase the attractiveness of our Aviation Center and it opens new development opportunities. It is also an impulse that will stimulate the development of Chełm and the entire region. We know that the city’s transport accessibility is one of the important aspects that investors consider when choosing the location of new projects. Thanks to our investment, we will be able to meet the expectations for the convenient communication even for the most demanding clients- said Prof. Eng. Arkadiusz Tofil, the rector of the State Higher Vocational School in Chełm.
