The Ministry of Science and Higher Education published a report on the results of recruitment for studies in the academic year 2018/2019. The data show that technical universities are the most popular choice.

According to the data from the Ministry of Science, universities most often chosen by candidates (four and more candidates’ applications per one place -) for first-cycle full-time studies include:
1. Gdańsk University of Technology 8.8
2. Warsaw University of Technology 7.2
3. Poznan University of Technology 6.9
4. Wrocław University of Economics 6.0
5. Lodz University of Technology 5.7
6. University of Warsaw 5,0
The most popular trends are: IT, management, psychology, economics and law.
