Under the initiative of the Social Responsibility of Science, one of the three pillars of the PM Gowin’s Strategy, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education has already allocated PLN 10 million to a program dedicated to seniors.

The aim of the Third Age Universities program is to support the idea of intergenerational solidarity, social activation of seniors, integration of local communities, as well as to develop the intellectual potential of the elderly and prevent their exclusion.

As the ministry of science underlines in the information, Poland ranks among the top countries in the field of social support and social activation of seniors. It established many institutions to prevent the exclusion of older people. Poland was the third country in the world, after France and Belgium, where the University of the Third Age was developed.
