The Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSzW) will allocate PLN 20 million for the expansion of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of Jan Kochanowski University (UJK) in Kielce. The construction works will start this fall and the building will be completed by the end of 2022.
The new facility will consist of a courtroom, conference room, lecture halls for 240, 120 and 100 people, computer and teaching rooms, as well as recreational space for students, administrative rooms and utility rooms.
The Faculty of Law and Social Sciences is the largest faculty of the university and it had an obsolete building- said Piotr Ziółkowski, director of the Office of Programs and Projects of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. He added that the decision of the Minister of Science, Wojciech Murdzek, should fully appease the fears that the reform of higher education would lead to the degradation of the Kielce University.
