The Pelixar company operating in the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia will prepare a drone monitoring pollution and notifying about dangers in the port of Gdynia. The contract signed by the partners is part of a long-term strategy for creating a unique security system for the port of Gdynia.
As part of the Aviation Monitoring System, drones will observe the area of the Port of Gdynia from the air. The camera with zoom will be used to observe the quays, and in addition a thermal imaging camera will allow to watch over security also at night and in case of seeking lost people.
In addition, drones will take care of the environment by using air pollution sensors – ships entering the port will be checked for their environmental safety. The innovative drone will also have a sensor to examine the backwaters and determine if they contain pollution. It will also be able to transport small shipments from the port straight to ships waiting for the entrance.
