The Academy of Physical Education in Poznań has won PLN 4 million for the research and didactic development of the university. The money was granted from the ministerial programme Regional Excellence Initiatives. 

Thanks to the grant, AWF will purchase innovative research equipment, as well as finance projects for young academics, foreign scientific internships, participation in international scientific conferences, publications, the expansion of Trends in Sport Sciences, and the retrofitting of the Main Library. An English-language degree programme in Sport will also be launched.

The money will help improve the competences of university staff in intellectual property law, commercialisation of R&D results, increasing the protection of R&D results and the effectiveness of cooperation with the socio-economic environment. It is also planned to reward activity in terms of participation in competitions for scientific projects – financial rewards for employees for developing and submitting a research project.
