Dr Piotr Wesołowski’s monument “Sun, peasant and donkey” can be seen in Xiliuhu Park in the capital of Henan Province of China. The project of the architect and artist from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology was one of 2,316 proposals sent to the second Zhengzhou International Sculpture Exhibition. They were evaluated by the jury, which selected the 32 most interesting works, taking into account their creativity, uniqueness and aesthetics, as well as issues of durability, safety and environmental friendliness.

20 works were finally selected for implementation, including the work “Sun, Peasant and Donkey” by Dr Eng. Piotr Wesołowski. His sculpture is a kind of loose metaphor of the relationship between man and nature, sustainable humanities, understood as a field actively involved in sustainable development focused on a common future.
