Polish scientists abroad only until March 31 can apply for the “Polish Returns” program of the National Academic Exchange Agency. The program enables Polish scientists to return to Poland and find employment at universities and institutes, as well as to obtain a start grant for basic research financed by the National Science Center.

This is the third program that creates optimal conditions for returning scientists to conduct scientific research or development work at a global level. The funds obtained under “Polish Returns” program include remuneration for the returning scientist, and also enable the creation of a project group (research team).

Since 2020, it is also possible to obtain funding for basic research. Grants for basic research are additional funding for the best projects that will be selected in this year’s ‘Polish Returns’ program and can be used by the scientists and their project teams returning to Poland during the first 18 months of project implementation.
