The National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) has awarded internships under the second Stanisław Ulam program to 76 foreign scientists. They will start their research stays at Polish universities and research institutes from January 2021.

The aim of the program is inviting outstanding scientists from foreign centers to scientific cooperation with Polish universities and research units. They receive a NAWA scholarship in the amount of PLN 10,000. PLN per month for the duration of their research stay in Poland, for a period of 6 to 24 months.

The greatest part of the applications selected for funding, were submitted by scientists from India (12), Italy (7), Iran (6) and Ukraine (5) with 3 scholarships were awarded to citizens of Great Britain, Germany, Argentina and France.
