The National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) has signed a cooperation agreement with the German Center for Academic Exchange (DAAD). This is the first contract of this type with a foreign partner institution signed by NAWA.
The agreement provides scholarships for Polish students, doctoral students and researchers in Germany, awarded by DAAD, and scholarships for German students, doctoral students and scientists for stays in Poland, awarded by NAWA.
It will also allow for the expansion of Polish-German inter-university cooperation, supporting the teaching of the national language in the other party’s country or mutual promotion of the scholarship offer and cooperation in foreign marketing of higher education systems.
– Our office in Warsaw is one of our most important offices, which is the best proof of how important cooperation with Poland is for us. We are now acting together to increase the attractiveness of both countries to our students, – said Dr Kai Sicks, DAAD Secretary General.
