Four foreign scientists will conduct research at the University of Silesia as part of the Stanisław Ulam Program of the National Agency for Academic Exchange.
The research projects will be carried out by: Manoj Kumar Solanki (India, biology) – “Elucidating the mechanisms that shape the spatial architecture of the nucleus in a natural and resynthesized allotetraploid model grass Brachypodium hybridum and their pregenitors”, Piroko Jalakas (Estonia, biology) – “(DEFOG) Deciphering ERA1 gene function in barley using Functional Genomics”, Alexander V. Khramov (Russia, life sciences) – “The lost world of ancient pollinators in the light of advanced microscopic technics” and Rocío Pellegrino Vidal (Italy, chemical sciences ) – “Application of untargeted HPLC to the proteomic analysis of cereals: classification and characterization of stress resistant varieties”.
The aim of the program is to increase the degree of internationalization of Polish universities and scientific institutions.
