The development of cities and scientific cooperation are the areas to be supported under the second edition of the Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme (SPCP). The Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy and the Association of Polish Cities officially inaugurated the second edition of the initiative, under which the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) is responsible for the implementation of the Scientific Research and Innovation Programme in the field of applied research.
The main objective of the Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme is to reduce the socio-economic disparities between the European Union and Poland by further strengthening bilateral cooperation between Switzerland and Poland.
Switzerland has allocated 320.1 million Swiss francs to Poland for the Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme. The national contribution should also be added to this pot, bringing the total to 375.458 million Swiss francs.
The Swiss Programme consists of the Scientific Research and Innovation Programme (over 41 million Swiss francs) and the Polish-Swiss Urban Development Programme (almost 328 million Swiss francs).
