The National Heritage Institute and the Department of the History of Architecture and Monument Conservation of the Faculty of Architecture of the Krakow University of Technology (PK) are inviting participants to the conference “Underground Krakow – hydrology in the area of a historic city”. The event will be held on November 18-19, 2021 in the Copper Room of the Krakow Museum at the Main Square in Krakow.
Researchers dealing with geological, engineering and hydrogeological issues, archaeologists, architects and conservators, representatives of local government and IT specialists will try to answer the following question during the conference: How to reconcile the dynamic development of cities with the obligation to preserve their historical heritage, care for water resources and greenery?
The conference is of an interdisciplinary nature, it will be attended by representatives of the Krakow University of Technology, the AGH University of Science and Technology, the Jagiellonian University, the National Heritage Institute, the Archaeological Museum in Krakow, the Wawel Royal Castle, the National Museum in Krakow, the Institute of Archeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Provincial Conservator of Monuments from Lesser Poland and Greater Poland, the City Roads Authority Krakow, Waterworks of the City of Krakow.
