The results of the ALPHORN competition for Polish-Swiss research projects in the fields of humanities, social sciences and arts, exact and technical sciences and life sciences were announced by the National Science Center in cooperation with the Swiss agency Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). The jury accepted five of 30 submitted applications. Polish teams cooperating with Swiss scientists will receive over PLN 5 million for research.

The ALPHORN competition was addressed to Polish research teams that intend to implement high-quality, innovative scientific research in cooperation with Swiss partners.

The highest funding of over PLN 1.5 million was awarded to the project that will be implemented at the Warsaw University of Technology under the supervision of Prof. Eng. Janusz Hołyst in cooperation with ETH Zurich.
