NAWA awards two Polish-German projects by Wrocław University of Science and Technology researchers

Two researchers at Wrocław University of Technology are winners of the National Academic Exchange Agency’s (NAWA) programme for joint research projects between Poland and Germany. They will collaborate with partners from the Brandenburg Technical University in Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU).

Dr Grzegorz Ziolkowski from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering will be the Polish coordinator of the project ‘Application of functional high-resolution computed tomography in numerical simulations and mechanical testing of incrementally manufactured aluminium alloys’. The research will take two years.

The second supported project is ‘Research on key properties of oxide thin-film semiconductors for gas detection applications’. It is headed by Prof Jarosław Domaradzki from the Thin Film Technologies Team at the Faculty of Electronics, Photonics and Microsystems. The project is scheduled to last 24 months.
