Ninety-three researchers at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow have been included in the TOP 2% list of the world’s best scientists. Compiled by Stanford University in collaboration with the publisher Elsevier and SciTech Strategies, the ranking assesses the entire scientific output of individual scholars according to a bibliometric index.
The Top 2% Most Influential Scientists list contains the names of scientists whose publications are most frequently cited by other authors. The scientific output of individual scholars in all fields of science is assessed according to a bibliometric index, which takes into account criteria such as the Hirsch index, the number of citations (including self-citations), Impact Factor, place and role in the list of authors.
The list creators prepare 2 rankings. The first considers the output of the researcher’s entire career (up to the end of 2021). The second relates to citations from the calendar year, in this case 2021, reports UJ.
