Prof. Eng. Katarzyna Zakrzewska of the Faculty of Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunications of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow has become the president of the Polish Society of Sensor Technology (PTTS) for the 2020–2024 term. Dr Eng. Paweł Pasierb of the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics AGH was elected to the Main Board of PTTS.

PTTS is an association representing the scientific community in the field of sensors and microsystems. Since its launch in 1992, the Society’s activity has supported initiatives from the economic environment and assist ambitious young scientists who declare their willingness to conduct research in this area.

PTTS supports organizing the International Conference on Optical and Electronic Sensors, COE. The Society also organizes a competition for the Edward Stolarski competition for the best thesis in two categories: diploma and doctoral theses.
