From 1 October 2023, a new unit began operating at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow. The Faculty of Informatics has joined the sixteen existing faculties.

The Faculty of Informatics replaces the previous faculty, the Institute of Informatics of the Faculty of Informatics, Electronics and Telecommunications. Under the new formula, the Faculty of Computer Science will provide education in Informatics and Informatics – Data Science.

Together with other faculties, education in the majors of Cyber Security and Modern Technologies in Forensics will be delivered.

AGH University of Science and Technology emphasises that the Faculty of Informatics, which will be implemented in the new Faculty, is one of the most renowned faculties of IT education in Poland. It has a 40-year tradition of education and research that is widely recognised at home and abroad.
