Coaches from the Copernicus Science Center in Warsaw met last Saturday, December 1, 2018, at the University of Bialystok campus (UwB) with teachers from north-eastern Poland who are interested in establishing Young Explorer Clubs.
The Club of the Young Explorer is a program implemented by the Copernicus Science Center with the support of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation. Its idea is to organize educational, extra-curricular activities, during which children and youth together learn about the world of science. The tutor can be a teacher, a cultural animator or a parent. Several hundred clubs are operating throughout Poland and abroad.
At the moment, under the care of the Białystok University there are 10 clubs, not only in the Podlasie Voivodeship, but also in Ełk, Ostrołęka, Huszlew, Ostrów Mazowiecka and Biała Podlaska. 18 teachers participate in the training and they intend to set up other Club of the Young Explorer.
