The National Agency for Academic Exchange awarded the University of Nicolaus Copernicus in Toruń over 1 million 175 thousand PLN for the implementation of the project “PROM – International scholarship exchange of doctoral students and academic staff”.

The program will finance scholarships for trips of 50 people from the faculties that make up the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences and the arrival of 50 doctoral students and scientists from abroad. Co-financing will be offered to PhD students (92 people) and research workers (8 people).

Project beneficiaries selected through a competition will be supported for the following activities: internships (3- or 4-week) for 30 PhD students from the Nicolaus Copernicus University and 12 PhD students from abroad; summer schools (at the faculty of physics of astronomy and applied computer science and the faculty of earth sciences) for 17 PhD students and 5 lecturers from abroad, as well as active participation in foreign conferences of 20 PhD students from the Nicolaus Copernicus University, 13 PhD students from abroad and 3 lecturers from abroad.
