Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń to launch the Center for Veterinary Medicine

The Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and the Strabag company have signed a contract for the construction of the Center for Veterinary Medicine. The laboratory building will be ready by the end of 2021. It will be the best equipped facility for veterinary education and services in Poland.

The facility with a total area of almost 6.5 thousand sq m will be built on a plot of land transferred by the Municipality of Toruń. It will offer didactic and practical classes as well as scientific research, it will also include an animal clinic providing external services. In the underground there will be a clinical part for pigs, a main cloakroom and a car park.

On the ground floor there will be a clinical part for horses and cattle, admission room and waiting room for animal owners. On the first floor there will be a clinic for small animals with 4 operating rooms. Didactic rooms, seminar rooms, assembly hall and rooms for researchers and administration will be located on the second floor. The designers planned an open observation deck has been designed on the roof.
